Heavy Vehicle Stability & Control Driver Training Programme

enhanced driver training 2

Transpecs has partnered with TR Master Drive Services to deliver this unique course throughout New Zealand. Designed for drivers, it is also highly appropriate for other team members in management, supervisory, fleet management and health and safety roles.

Course Benefits:

  • It’s the only one of its kind in New Zealand. Nowhere else can you get both the theory and practical experience of heavy vehicle stability, roll over dynamics. This is real, in cab hands on learning. By completing this course you will experience a vehicle roll over and learn how to prevent it.
  • A practical and theory-based course designed to provide drivers with advanced skills, knowledge and awareness of the dynamics associated with heavy vehicles during cornering, braking, emergency steering manoeuvres, and in the event of a jack knife.
  • Ideally suited for drivers of vehicles with a high centre of gravity (livestock, Rubbish collection, General freight, Concrete, Liquid loads) in either a truck and trailer unit or a Semi Trailer / B-Train
  • You will be professionally trained by qualified and experienced instructors.

Aim:

  • Train drivers to have an awareness of the dynamics at work during cornering, braking, emergency steering manoeuvres and in the event of a jack knife.
  • To increase safety by reducing the incidence of the following: - Loss of vehicle control - Travelling too fast - Failure of the driver to drive to the conditions - Single vehicle crashes - Rollovers on bends
